The tenth military convoy decorated with mercenary Wagner Group symbols has arrived in Belarus via a new route, the Belaruski Hajun monitoring project reports.
“The convoy has at least ten units of vehicles: a KamAZ tent, several off-road vans, a Volkswagen Transporter van, and at least six trucks. Most cars have their number plates covered or ones issued by Russia or the so-called LDPR (Luhansk and Donetsk people’s republics — Russia-occupied Luhansk and Donetsk regions of Ukraine — translator’s note). The convoy is escorted by the Belarusian traffic police,” the outlet notes.
Belaruski Hajun notes that the convoy deviated from the route previously used by other units of the Wagner Group.
On 20 July, a Telegram channel close to the Wagner Group published a statement of the so-called member of the “commander council” who said that up to 10,000 mercenaries are planning to arrive in Belarus. Belaruski Hajun has calculated that more than 2,000-2,500 fighters of the Russian private military campaign had arrived in the country by 18 July.
On 22 July, Wagner Group founder and financier Yevgeny Prigozhin registered a company in Belarus.
